17-4-08 UNDER 9s CUP FINAL
The under 9s team will this Saturday take on Ladybridge in the Chairman's Cup Final at Radcliffe Borough Football Club with a 9.30am kick off. The team have done superbly to reach the final and although we will go into the game as underdogs the team have showed enough ability and commitment in previous rounds to have a chance of pulling off an upset. Good Luck to Gary, Ian and the lads and enjoy the occasion.

17-4-08 UNDER 14s CUP FINAL CANCELLED
The under 14s academy team were left disappointed at the weekend after officials of Bury Football Club decided that their Gigg Lane pitch was unfit to stage the Bury & Radcliffe League cup final on Sunday. A new date is yet to be set but we are all still hoping that the final will be staged at Gigg Lane and not switched to a lesser ground.

9-4-08 ACADEMY BOYS REACH CUP FINAL AT GIGG LANE
The Soccer 4 Kids under 14s Academy team have reached the Bury & Radcliffe League Knock Out cup final and they will play Westbury this Sunday April 13th.
The final is taking place at Gigg Lane, home of course to championship club Bury F.C, the kick off for the game is 10.30pm so please get along and support the lads as they look to get their hands on the trophy.

1-4-08 HOLIDAY COURSES
The Ester Holiday courses were a real success with many children enjoying the activities at our two venues. The football coaching course at our new Warrington venue attracted almost 50 children which is fantastic for the first time.
We have now agreed a firm partnership with the Powerleague complex to run courses in conjunction with their company at every school holiday at this venue and we are looking to form further partnerships with other centres which the Powerleague company operate.
We have now updated the Holiday Course page with details of our courses at half term in May at the Powerleague venue and also at our St Marys venue in Astley.
We are looking to add venues in Wigan and Bolton shortly and hopefully in time for the May half term.

29-10-07 WARRINGTON HOLIDAY COURSE IS A HIT!!
We are pleased to announce that our very first holiday course to be held in the Warrington area was a huge success this week. The multi sports coaching course was held at Penketh High School with around 40 children attending over the course of the week. The children took part in many different sports including football, rugby, tennis, basketball and cricket and even a new sport!! introduced by coach Liam called Swedish Long Ball!!
This venue will now host holiday courses during all school holidays and we are hoping to announce some dates shortly for the Christmas and New Year period.
This coming week will see us host two more courses at St Marys High School in Astley and Standish High School in Wigan.

24-9-07 SOCCER 4 KIDS EXPANDS INTO WARRINGTON
The Soccer 4 Kids division of the company is to launch its fourth Development Centre in the Warrington area. The new centre will be based at Penketh HighSchool and is set to open in early October. Sessions will be run on weekday evenings and on a Saturday morning and the centre will cater for both boys and girls of all abilities aged from 3 years to 12 years of age.
First class coaching will be given by the companies team of professional coaches and we guarantee that every child will improve their ability and technique whether they come to us a beginner or a more advanced player.
The company are also looking to launch its second Youth Development Academy at this venue in the next few months and this will run along a similar line to the one at the companies Leigh Centre which has become hugely successful. The Academy now operates seven teams in local leagues and has also developed several players who have gone on to sign for Pro club academies.

5-9-07 GOOD LUCK TO THE OLD BOYS!!
This season three of our former players will be turning out for pro clubs. Alex Honeyball is in his second season at Bolton Wanderers as is Alex O Shea at Bury and they are both playing in the under 10s. Lewis Brook signed for Manchester City during the Summer and will be playing under 9s this season. We wish them all the very best of luck

5-9-07 ACADEMY TEAMS PREPARE FOR KICK OFF
This weekend sees the start of the new season with our Soccer 4 Kids Academy now running 7 teams. All of them will be in action this weekend except the new under 7s team who kick off in a few weeks in the Salford League.
The under 8s, 9s and 10s A & B all kick off their seasons on Saturday in the Bolton, Bury and District Mini Soccer League and will all be looking to get off to good starts.
The under 12s also kick off their season in the leagues youth division against Bolton BSS as they look to improve on last seasons fourth place finish.
The under 14s have moved into the very competitive Bury & Radcliffe League and have the toughest of starts on Sunday as they host last seasons champions and County Cup winners Moston Juniors.

26-8-07 SUMMER COURSES PROVE A HUGE SUCCESS
The summer holiday courses are now over and what a huge success they were with 100s of children enjoying the activities over the four weeks. Numbers were well up on last year with many children attending for the first time.

14-5-07 CUP FINAL SUCCESS FOR UNDER 13s
The under 13s Academy team picked up the Salford League Cup with a superb 3-0 victory over Barr Hill at The Willows, home of Salford Rugby League Club. Neither team created much in a goalless first half but we put in a superb second half performance to run out comfortable winners with goals two from Luke Norris and one from Robert Wills. The team have now won five major trophies in the last 3 seasons.

12-5-07 UNDER 11s LOSE IN CUP FINAL
The under 11s Soccer 4 Kids Academy team were beaten on penalties in the Chairmans Cup Final by Rooftec Rangers. We were 2-1 up at half time thanks to goals by Frankie Halton and Jack Heaton but despite creating some good chances in the second half it was Rooftec who got the only goal to make it 2-2. The game went straight to penalties and we lost out in the cruelest of ways. All the players were fantastic and gave it everything but like last year we had to settle for beaten finalists.

16-2-07 HOLIDAY COURSE SUCCESS
Record numbers attended our Multi Sports Holiday Course during the half term break at St Marys High School in Astley. 64 children aged between 4 and 12 took part in a number of different sports over the week and judging by the smiles on the children's faces at the end of the course all of them seemed to have had a great time.
It was also nice to hear the many complimentary comments from parents at the end of course presentation where all the children who took part for the week received a participation gift.

15-11-06 SOCCER 4 KIDS FREE FOOTBALL COACHING DAY
We will starting our new Youth Development Football Centre at Powerleague, Bolton in January 2007 and to launch this new centre we have teamed up with Powerleague to offer a FREE coaching day.
This will take place at the Powerleague centre which is at Leverhulme Park, Long Lane, Bolton on Friday December 22nd from 10am through to 3pm. Children aged between 4 and 12 are welcome to attend, both boys and girls from beginners to the more advanced.
We are hoping that scouts and coaches will be present from our partnership club Bolton Wanderers and possibly a first team player.

31-10-06 SOCCER 4 KIDS TEAMS UP WITH POWERLEAGUE
Following recent discussions with Powerleague we are to launch a Youth Development Centre at their Bolton Venue in January 2007.
Powerleague have a network of 35 centres throughout the UK with each centre, including the one at Bolton, having the 5th generation rubber crumb soccer playing surface, as used at the top Premiership club training grounds.
The Bolton venue is situated at Leverhulme Park on Long Lane and we will have the use of the centres 10 pitches in the early evenings and at weekends. We plan to run professional coaching for children of all abilities aged between 3 and 12 in addition to holiday courses and tournaments.

17-10-06 ALEX SIGNS FOR BURY!!
We are proud to announce that Alex O Shea from our under 9s Academy squad has been signed on for Bury Football Clubs Centre Of Excellence. This follows a trail period at the club where Alex impressed the coaches with his ability. We are really proud of what Alex has achieved and although he will be a huge loss to us we wish him well.
Alex is the second under 9 player to be snapped up by a pro club after Alex Honeyball was signed for the academy at our partner club Bolton Wanderers at the end of last season.
We will keep you up to date with both boys progress throughout the season.

23-8-06 ACADEMY TEAMS GET READY FOR BIG KICK OFF
The Soccer 4 Kids Academy will be running six teams this season (2006-07), four playing mini soccer and two 11 a side. The under 7s, 8s and two teams at under 9s will be playing in the Bolton & Bury Mini Soccer League whilst the under 11s team will be in the same league but this season have moved up to 11 a side. All these teams kick off their seasons on Saturday September 9th. The under 13s kick off a week earlier on Sunday September 2nd and will play in a new league this season. The team have won back to back league and cup doubles in the Wigan League and hope that a switch to the Salford League will provide a new challenge.
